Nagpur: From Saoji chicken to locally grown millet recipes, the menu for a gala dinner event scheduled on March 20 for C20 delegates will have a strong Nagpuri flavour. After a special viewing of the musical fountain at Futala, the over 200 delegates of C20 will experience a collage of pallettes on their taste buds, with a menu designed to specifically highlight the local culture. Swadesh Singh, Sous-Sherpa for C20, and its secretariat in charge, said, "The gala dinner will basically showcase Nagpur's local flavours on a plate. In the open-to-air dinner event, the C20 foreign delegates will get to taste local cuisine, understand the recipes, and experience the incredibly rich and diverse food choices our country offers." This year we’re going to rewatch Parasite , the Oscar-winning Korean film from which I’ve borrowed inspiration for today’s recipe. In the film, ram-don is a combination of two sets of Korean instant noodles, chapagetti and neoguri , part ramen and part udon. The end result tastes, much like my hope for the new year, sweet, spicy and exciting.
