One has to consistently eat healthily and choose more nutritious food options such as leafy vegetables and whole grains to inch closer to the goal. Healthy food doesn't have to be necessarily boring. While you may have to reluctantly stop eating sauces and rich curries, there are other flavoursome options that will provide great taste along with nutrition.
To assist you in your fitness journey, celebrity chef Padma Lakshmi, in an Instagram Reel, shares the recipe for a delicious, high-protein chickpea spinach salad. According to her, the salad is low in calories, requires minimal ingredients, and can be prepared quickly. Being rich in protein and light to eat, the salad can be the perfect dish to munch for weight loss. Take a look:

To begin making the chickpea spinach salad, arrange the ingredients listed below.
Chickpeas
Fresh spinach
Chopped red bell pepper
Spring onions – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice
Olive oil
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Once all the ingredients are on the kitchen slab, follow these easy steps.
Step – 1 Take some rinsed and dried chickpeas in a bowl and add the chopped red bell pepper to it.
Step – 2 Toss in 2 tbsp of spring onions before drizzling some olive oil on the salad.
Step – 3 Squeeze some fresh lemon juice in the bowl, add fresh spinach leaves, and mix everything well. Also, sprinkle some salt.
Step – 4 Take ½ tsp black pepper and dry roast them. Then crush the black peppers using a mortar and pestle to form a powder.
Step – 5 Add the powdered black pepper to the salad and mix properly.
Padma Lakshmi says that the salad can be stored in an airtight container and it can last for up to a week in the refrigerator. Those who like it a bit spicy can add some red chillies to the salad.
