Where To Get All Cooking Recipes In Cult Of The Lamb - TheGamer
You'll be doing a lot of cooking in Cult Of The Lamb. Your Followers can't make meals for themselves, so you're responsible for feeding them whenever you're in town. Filling their stomachs keeps them healthy, which means they can continue to toil for your glory!
Of course, the Flock will do anything the Lamb commands, including eat things they really shouldn't. Most meals have side effects; some of these can be turned to your advantage, while others are better used to make a point or punish unruly Followers. The Lamb doesn't seem to be all that great of a cook, but with this guide you can at least help them along.
How To Cook
The very first thing you build as part of the tutorial is the Cooking Pot. By interacting with it, you can choose from any of your unlocked recipes. The Lamb can cook up to twelve meals at a time, but there's no cooldown on the Cooking Pot so if you have enough ingredients you can make batch after batch.
Each recipe's icon has a number in the lower-right corner. This shows the number of times you can cook that recipe with your current stock of ingredients. Since many recipes share ingredients, these numbers will go down as you queue up meals.
Once you've decided on a menu, selecting the Cook button at the bottom of the interface starts a brief minigame. Press the interact button when the icon is in the green zone to successfully cook the next meal in the queue. If you miss, you'll burn the meal, creating a mess you'll need to clean up afterward.
Feeding Followers
Hungry Followers will stop what they are doing and eat a meal if one is available. Meals are given to the hungriest Followers first, and the Flock is smart enough that multiple Followers won't try to eat the same meal. The exception to this is if a Follower has requested a specific meal as part of a quest; in these cases, that Follower skips the line and eats the first plate of the requested meal that is cooked.
If a Follower goes several days without eating, they will gain the Starving status. The Starvation meter over their head will slowly fill; if it turns completely red, the Follower dies immediately. Starving Followers have the status removed as soon as they eat a meal of any kind.
One of the Lamb's unlockable abilities at the Temple allows them to eat a meal that they've cooked. This ability is available by trading in one of the Heretic Hearts dropped by the game's four bosses. Eating a meal grants the Lamb an additional Blue Heart on their next crusade.
If the Lamb eats an unhealthy meal such as Grassy Gruel or a Bowl Of Poop, they will instead lose a Red Heart on their next crusade!
How To Unlock Recipes
Once you have the ingredients for a given recipe, it will automatically be unlocked at the Cooking Pot. There are no scrolls to find with new recipes like Blueprints or Follower Forms. However, the game's most infamous dish is only unlocked by accepting a specific quest, regardless of whether you have the ingredients beforehand.
Early in the game, a Follower will confess to the Lamb a secret desire. They'll ask you to prepare a Bowl Of Poop. Accepting the quest adds this vile concoction to your recipe book. If you cook five of them, you'll unlock the Poop Follower Form.
